Some new photographs that I took last night are now in the Hampshire Gallery.
As the sun lowered across a field on Litchfield Down I noticed this Oat crop leftover from a previous harvest. The sun was backlighting the Oats, making them stand out from their surroundings.
The last few gasps of breeze kept causing the crops to sway ruining the sharpness of the photograph. Luckily one of the 20 or so frames was timed just right and I got this.
There is a narrow road bridge crossing the Bourne Rivulet to the south of St Mary Bourne. The clear chalky waters are perfect for growing watercress, which is exactly what Vitacress do just the other side of the railway viaduct!
I arrived just as the sun was sinking and the blue twilight had started creeping in. The long summer evening meant I had plenty of time to capture the peaceful scene. Not bad for an evenings work 10 mins from home.
