After shooting the River Test at Longstock yesterday, I went along to Chilbolton Cow Common just a few miles up the road. It was a pleasant sunny morning and I wanted to get a more up to date view of this photograph taken a couple of years ago now. The pretty thatched cottage makes a great background for the River Test and is quite a popular view.
From the Wherwell side of the Common is a footbridge over a larger section of the river, it is difficult to find a good angle as it meanders around trees. This is a great place to see, and feed, the Brown Trout that the river is famous for.
The ‘kissing gate’ leading into the Common also makes a pleasing view. The information board shows some of the range of Flora and Fauna that can be found on the Common, which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
These photographs and more are available in the Hampshire Gallery on the website.
I really loved this brilliant article. Please continue this awesome work.
