New Images: Portland Bill

A bit overdue, but I have added photos of Portland Bill to the Dorset Gallery.

Pulpit Rock. Portland Bill Dorset

The last rays of sun graze the limestone ledges at Pulpit Rock while the waves lap at the base of the cliff. The area is part of the UNESCO world heritage Jurassic Coast.

Portland Bill Lighthouse Dorset

The deep clear water around the Bill reveals multicoloured rocks in the blue twilight. Portland Bill Lighthouse was built in 1906 and is 35 metres (115 ft) high, a reminder of the violent tidal race just offshore.
